After a 20 year affinity with the Fiji Islands, in particular the Serua Province, we purchased our first farm.
My Fijian friend and I cleared the land by hand using machetes and planted kava, pineapple, dalo and
cassava. We went through the jungle and collected the local indigenous Noni saplings and interplanted them.
Since the kava market became unstable, we have concentrated soley on producing quality Noni products.
The Fijian Noni suits its environment and has a high seed content which improves the strengh and quality
of the product.
Every part of the tree can be used as a medicine including the bark and roots
through our experiences in Fiji we are now moving into other natural Fijian medicines.
We have seen hurricanes, tidal waves, drought and even three military coups in our time in Fiji.
In 2006 we suffered a major Arson attack,
losing our house and noni factory ,but we are back on our feet now.
The hardy Noni survives it all and continues to produce fruit. A truly wonderous tree.
We have a good working and family relationship with our Fijian friends which ensures a bright future growing Fijian medicine. As the farm grows, we all move forward together.
The Mahevu Farm motto has always been
“ A happy family is an early heaven ”
regards and the best of life to you
